AI search visibility: a practical checklist for growing brands

By Turma Digital Agency · Published September 21, 2026 · Strategy guide

Being mentioned in an AI answer is useful only if the right person can understand your offer and take the next step. Start by making your website a better source of answers.

Clear answers, evidence and real outcomes: the Turma search framework

What Google’s guidance actually says

Google says the established principles of SEO still apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode. A supporting page must be indexed and eligible for a search snippet. There is no special AI schema requirement, and meeting the requirements does not guarantee inclusion. Read Google’s guidance.

Google also includes traffic from these experiences in Search Console’s overall Web performance reporting. That means a change in search clicks should not automatically be described as a separate AI visibility result.

Start with a customer decision

Choose one question that comes up before somebody buys. For an agency, that might be what a website project includes, how a campaign will be measured or what needs to change when entering another market. Give that question a focused page with a useful answer near the top.

Our recommended editorial test is simple: could a reader make a better decision after reading this page? If the answer is unclear, add an example, a comparison or a worked process. Repeating a popular headline with different wording will rarely give your business a distinctive point of view.

Make your evidence easy to inspect

Separate platform facts from your own recommendations. Link to the original announcement when discussing a product change. For a case study, explain the starting point, the work completed, the measurement period and any limitations. Use a client’s name or results only with permission and supporting evidence.

Before publishing, ask a colleague to mark every sentence that needs proof. Remove unsupported numbers. Explain what is still uncertain. This creates a stronger article and makes future updates easier.

Give international readers real context

A page for a business entering an Asian market should discuss the actual customer, language, buying journey and support expectations. A page for a UK or European audience should be equally specific. Replacing a country name in the same article does not answer those questions.

Start with the markets you can serve credibly. Build a short list of customer questions for each, then decide which need separate content and which can share a useful central resource.

Measure visibility and action separately

Your next publishing sprint

Pick one customer question, write a useful answer, add one original illustration and link to a relevant service page. Check the page on a phone, confirm its links work, and record its starting performance. Revisit it when you have enough data to judge what readers do.

Google’s content guidance asks creators to consider originality, usefulness and trust. Use that as a review standard rather than treating word count or publishing frequency as a guarantee of results. Read the helpful content guidance.

Put your search strategy in motion.

Share your website, priority markets and the questions your customers ask.
